Hi Ina~ I haven't checked in on here in awhile......I hope you are doing well! It sounds like you are getting around well. I wasn't able to fully walk around the mall until 2.5 months post-LTHR. I think your surgery might have been more complicated than mine was........but I hope you are feeling well and no complications. I am doing great.......ZERO pain, but I still need to lose all the weight I gained :( LOL Laura
I was born with CHD (congenital hip dysplasia)& now having a THR (total hip replacement)& acetabular(hip socket) grafting/reconstruction. This is my journey...
was diagnosed with CHD @ the age of 9. Had 2 (failed) open reductions, hip(pelvic) osteotomy, arthrodesis- it fuses the femoral head to the acetabulum with screws & immobalized in a body cast for 6 months (that failed too). Spent the ages of 9-12 in Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles. Had many body casts (spica casts) from chest to toes,petrie cast, traction, morphine & a bad attitude.lol
